i want to do some runs on upright bass to "Foggy Mountain Special" tune played in key of G.
i know the chord progression for the tune played just straight. how do i go about doing some "fancy fingerwork " to add some spice to the tune and take a bass break?? i am not a really experienced player--"just a straight thru the song player"---ie. will need some indepth, clear sinstructions---please!!!
thanks so much for any help from anyone!! |

Hey Newbasser, my teacher and I have been going over "walking" and "runs". If you know your major scales then you have the knowledge to make it work. If you don't know them then you might want to find them and print them out. Then you have to figure out what notes fit in to get you from one chord to the other. Not much in depthy instruction, but it's a start :) |
